Planning Breast Augmentation in Korea: Consultation, Stay and Flying Home

Breast augmentation is one of the procedures international patients travel to Seoul for. A good result depends as much on planning the trip around recovery as on the operation itself.

Before you book flights

Most clinics offer a photo consultation by message. Expect to send front and side photos, your height and weight, and a description of the change you want. The initial answer is a recommendation and a guide quote; the final plan and price are confirmed in person after examination.

How long to stay

A stay of around ten days to two weeks is commonly advised. It covers the operation, early check-ups, and enough time for the surgeon to confirm healing before you fly. Booking accommodation close to the clinic makes the first days easier.

The first days after surgery

• Tightness and soreness in the chest are expected, especially if the implant is placed under the muscle.
• A supportive garment or bra is usually worn as instructed.
• Lifting, pushing and raising the arms high are restricted for a period.

Packing list

• Front-opening tops and loose clothing
• Any regular medications, with a list of their names and doses
• A pillow or cushion to keep pressure off the chest on the flight home

After you return home

Ask how follow-up works remotely, what records and implant documentation you will take home, and when you should see a local doctor for routine checks. Keep the implant details safe — you may need them years later.
